At the Vanderbilt Biomedical Optics Laboratory, we are currently exploring three main areas of research: optical diagnostcis, optical therapeutics, and non-invasive imaging. The research into optical diagnostics is primarily under Dr. Anita Mahadevan-Jansen and Dr. Wei-Chiang Lin. Dr. E. Duco Jansen directs the majority of optical therapeutics and imaging research. Occasionally, a project doesn't fit any of these categories. We consider these projects novel ideas. Also, our lab conducts educational research with the VaNTH ERC.
