This
annual meeting of the Biomedical Engineering Society, the lead
society for the field with over 3,600 members, brings together
academic leaders, trainees and industry for over three days of
focused but exhilarating discussions and presentations of the newest
ideas, discoveries and products in this booming field. We expect to
attract participants from all over the world representing many
disciplines: practicing engineers from biomedical, electrical,
chemical, mechanical, and other engineering fields; life scientists;
as well as medical specialists. The meeting attracts a large number
of undergraduate and graduate student attendees, who are prospective
employees to recruit to biomedical industry and research
